Currently, salaries account for 75% of total running costs, the balance being food, transport, vehicle repairs, telephone and electricity.
Regular monthly donations from all too few Knysna residents, and
one from Johannesburg, together with a grant from the Department of
Social Services, account for 50%.
The balance is met by interest free long term loans from a local resident.
Many donors have collectively provided most of the capital expenditure in cash or kind.
Although this is much appreciated, Sinethemba is in urgent need of more regular donors and sponsors to
minimize it's reliance on loans.
